About Us

Our History

Horwich Hockey Club has a strong Mens and Ladies section with 2 teams in each. We have a thriving social scene within the club and have been commended on our commitment to Hockey both on and off the field.

The Club was established in 2014 as the first hockey team in the town of Horwich. The members of the club had been together for many years as part of Bolton HC and then Bury HC before deciding to go our separate ways and create Horwich Hockey Club.

Since our success of winning the North West Hockey Division 6N in our debut season, the Men’s side has built a strong squad, rising through the North West Hockey Leagues. The ladies team followed with early championship success too and also continues to grow with a 2nd team now established in both sections.
